All InterNACHI-Certified Professional Inspectors CPI® are required to pass an Inspector Exam, follow a comprehensive Standards of Practice, abide by a strict Code of Ethics, and take accredited Continuing Education courses each year in order to maintain their membership in good standing.
In order to become certified, our inspectors were required to take inspection courses related to the interior and exterior of the home, including the common and major areas of concern for home buyers, such as the foundation, heating and cooling, roof, plumbing, and electrical systems. Our inspectors are graduates of the InterNACHI® School, the world's only home inspector college that offers the nationally-accredited Home Inspector Certificate Program.
Buying a home is typically the biggest investment you will ever make, so it's important to get a home inspection because the inspector can find and document defects that may or may not be evident to you. Such defects can range from simple replacements or repairs to severe damage or safety and health concerns.

About Me
When I emigrated to the united states in 2012, I did not know what to expect; I had $200 in my pocket and a dream to one day call myself an American. So I started my journey working in agriculture in 2012. In 2013 I met the woman who would become my wife a year later. In May 2014, we tied the knot. In 2015 I went into manufacturing and did some construction on the side. Finally, in January 2021, I reached my lifelong dream of becoming a naturalized American citizen. I was overwhelmed with joy and had this constant feeling that I needed to give back to the people and the community that has treated me so well over the past years. So I decided in 2021 that I wanted to start a business. I took note of all my experiences and what I enjoyed doing and decided that home inspections were the perfect fit for me. I studied at the Inspection Certification Association (ICA), and upon receiving my certification, I decided to join InterNACHI and become a Certified Professional Inspector. Hanekom Co LLC was conceived with the idea that no one should buy a property and have to spend thousands of dollars fixing things that end up breaking or were damaged from the start. Instead, every home buyer and seller should be able to make informed decisions when purchasing or selling a property.
